I began practicing yoga much the same as anyone else, curious to understand the many benefits and eager to reap the rewards.
I practiced on and off for years, always a bit unsure if I was "doing it right". Is it for me? I don't have a dance background and truthfully wasn't very flexible.
However, my desire to learn more about yoga from the very beginning and incorporate more balance into my life, led me to sign up for a 200 Hour Hatha Flow - Ashtanga Influenced Yoga Teacher Training in Baja California Sur in Mexico.
After weeks of practice and study, I completed the program and graduated on April 28, 2018 also my 45th birthday.
Initially, my goal was to complete this program for myself, not really to teach yoga. But life is fluid and things change. After graduating and returning home, I felt very encouraged to share what I learnt with the hope of another soul being able to experience this amazing journey too.
Everyday that I have the privilege of practicing yoga and being able to share what I know is a gift. I say this all the time but it's true.... "my students teach me as much as I teach them".
My commitment and desire to learn more about yoga continued to grow.
In April 2019, I completed a 50 Hour Yin Yoga Techer Training program in Vancouver, British Columbia with Bernie Clark and Diana Batts. http://www.yinyoga.com/
In November 2020, I also completed a 50 Hour Restorative Teacher Training with Source Yoga Studios in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
My current goal is to complete my 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certification and forever keep growing in mind, body and spirit.
